July 30: Happy Birthday Jim Mcllvaine
Happy birthday Jim Mcllvaine. Jim is best remembered for parlaying his two seasons with the Bullets into a 7 year 33 million dollar free agent deal with the Sonics. Oh, I forgot to mention that Jim averaged 2.0 pts and 2.5 rebs a game during his 2 seasons with the Bullets. I’m not sure what the Sonics were expecting or thinking, but Jim did increase his production to 3.0 pts and 3.5 rebs a game in his 2 years with them. Jim lasted 7 seasons in the league and was paid not to play in the final year of his contract. Jim now works as an analyst for Marquette (his alma mater) basketball games. Happy 37th Mr. Mcllvaine.
